Jim Craft, Executive Director,
Licensed Evangelist & Lay Preacher
A 4th generation Marine and seasoned senior executive in industry and government, Jim has been involved in “tent-making” ministries since 1984, with a focus on evangelism. He has spoken and preached in varied locations such as Istanbul, Cairo, Tegucigalpa, and even San Diego, California. In 1986, Jim began participating in living history interpretation and historic drama to satisfy his interest in the past and to instill a love of history in children. He shifted focus to the American Civil War and history-related ministry when he became a re-enacting unit’s chaplain in 2001. Saved by God’s grace, Jim was blessed to have Joanne marry him in 1979.
Joanne Craft, Music Director & Volunteer Coordinator
Joanne has been heavily involved in historic music since leading a madrigal group in High School (for which she won an award). An English major at George Mason University, she worked a number of jobs, both paid and volunteer, that enabled her to stay home with her children until they graduated high school, serve the Church, and give to the community. She has served as worship director, administrator, bookkeeper, and secretary for various churches. In public schools, she has worked as a library secretary, substitute teacher, and set up a music program for special needs children. She is regularly called on to do living history interpretation and planning for history programs for school and after-school programs. She is continually reading and researching, with a particular interest in primary source texts.
Jennifer Andreani, Communications Director
Jennifer Andreani, with a degree in graphic design from George Mason University, specializes in print design, marketing, and branding. She has been participating in Civil War reenacting for ten years, and has been involved with musical worship ministry since 1997. Having worked with the ministry since 2004, she also heads up the public relations efforts of the ministry and serves as part of the Historic Faith Ministries worship team.
Wren Hubbell, Costuming Director
With 15 years of reenacting experience and a bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Civil War Historical Arts, Wren has done considerable research into period garment construction techniques and textiles. She has worked with the ministry since 2007 and was a participant in its earliest endeavors.
As Costuming Director, she assists our volunteers to be outfitted appropriately and accurately and fields questions from tourists at events regarding men and women’s garments during that period.
