Our 2008 Fall and Winter schedule is still firming up but we will be posting our schedule in the near future. We will likely be having historic church services once a month in 2009. Most of our activities will be conducted at the Ben Lomond Historic Site in Manassas, Virginia and other Prince William County Historic Sites.

Donations are welcome and used for materials and expenses, such as reprints of period evangelical tracts. We ask that if you wish to give, you do so after meeting the needs of your local church. Like other historic interpreters, we have occasionally accepted payment for our work, which helps cover some of our costs, but this ministry is not how we earn our daily bread. Donations are not used for salaries. If you wish to donate to this ministry, we ask that you do so through Church of the Holy Spirit, in Ashburn, Virginia. So if this ministry excites you, how can you help the most? Here are some ideas.
Prayer. We believe that this work will only succeed by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit answers the call of prayer. Right now, we are praying about our schedule and associated schedules. Also we are looking to have our Civil War Field Prayer Books (Confederate and Union versions) printed in a historic hard cover and are looking for a good printer to do so at little or no cost or better yet a publisher that might actually print and sell them and give this ministry a royalty.
Connect Us with a Good Church. We believe in the importance of the local Churches and our need to work with them. We operate under the spiritual authority of our local Church (Church of the Holy Spirit) and seek to network with other Churches that see value in our work. Perhaps you know one that we should talk to. Have them e-mail us.
Historical Research. There is a lot we are looking to learn. Because of time constraints there are a lot of topics that we would like to research but haven't. For example we would like to be able to do services for a variety of periods but have limited information. We would love to collect and post material on this web site for others to use or for our own study. We could use researchers and reviewers. If you are interested please e-mail us.
Help Us Get Into Good Events or Programs. Where can we make a difference? Is there a local program that we might be able to get us into? A lot of historic re-enacting is networking. Do you have an opportunity? If so e-mail us at ict4afghans@hotmail.com.
Lend a Skill. There is a lot that goes into historic re-enactment: sewing, woodworking, blacksmithing, bookbinding, etc. If you have skill that you believe could help us let us know. Don't like this website? Maybe you can help with a new one!! If you want to lend a hand e-mail us.
Donate Tracts and Bibles. We would like to freely give away tracts and Bibles; the
stuff would go like hot cakes if we had enough. We do want to review the materials to ensure that it is appropriate for what we are doing but if you want to help in that area, send e-mail. If you want to lend a hand e-mail us.
Donate Re-enacting Equipment. This is an expensive "hobby" and while we don't have room in our townhouse for much more stuff, there are always items that we could use (do you have an office, house or farm that you want to give away or give us use of?). If you want to donate, e-mail us.
Help Us Learn to be Better Re-enactors. We would love feedback on the ministry or how we can improve the impressions we do or the information we provide. We are really new to Civil War re-enacting. Send any suggestions to ict4afghans@hotmail.com.
