Are you a minister with a passion for Christ and history?
Historic Faith Ministries is looking for priests and ministers from historic denominations who have a heart for evangelism and history to present the Gospel during our church services and fellowship. Preachers who are willing to take on this vital and compelling role should be willing and excited to do the following:
- Officiate over a one-hour service, including a homily with era-correct language, while in historic costuming.
- Speak with visitors, many of whom may be tourists, after the service about the denomination within the context of the Civil War and the time-enduring message of Jesus Christ.
- Advertise the service within their own congregation, perhaps allowing a representative from Historic Faith Ministries to visit so that they may deliver a 2-minute pitch during the service announcements and/or set up a table to recruit volunteers and drum up interest after the service(s).
It is the desire of Historic Faith Ministries to assist Adopt-a-Sunday partners in their service, including helping to research denominations and issues, to dress both preaching ministers and any members of their congregation who desire to join, and to craft a homily that is era-appropriate.
Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out an Adopt-a-Sunday Interest Form so that one of our staff members may contact you regarding this compelling opportunity to share the Gospel with people who might not otherwise hear it.
