Adopt-a-Quilt Needs your Help!
Historic Faith Ministries is partnering with Prince William County to prepare for the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Bull Run. As a part of this endeavor, we wish to recruit quilters who would desire to:
- Make reproduction civil war quilts and donate them to Historic Faith Ministries for on-going education about the importance of quilts in the context of the Civil War, including reproductions of those quilts used to mark stations in the Underground Railroad. (Research and patterns provided.)
- Dress in civil war attire and quilt during events, discussing issues of the day (events in 1861).
- Teach and guide new quilters by quilting at events.
Any person, club or organization interested in partnering with us may contact Joanne Craft, our volunteer coordinator with our Adopt-a-Quilt Interest Form.
